Compress Images on upload

Hi,

Recently i wanted to compress images when uploading using Postgresql and hibernate. I implemented below code :

Image compressor utility code below ::

package com.utils;

import java.awt.Graphics2D;
import java.awt.Image;
import java.awt.image.BufferedImage;
import java.awt.image.renderable.ParameterBlock;
import java.io.ByteArrayInputStream;
import java.io.ByteArrayOutputStream;
import java.io.FileNotFoundException;
import java.io.IOException;
import java.io.InputStream;
import java.util.Iterator;

import javax.imageio.IIOImage;
import javax.imageio.ImageIO;
import javax.imageio.ImageWriteParam;
import javax.imageio.ImageWriter;
import javax.imageio.stream.MemoryCacheImageOutputStream;
import javax.media.jai.JAI;
import javax.media.jai.RenderedOp;

import com.sun.media.jai.codec.SeekableStream;

                        //mydocimage.setId(mydocimageId);
                        mydocimage.setDs(dStp);

                        myDocList.getMyDocumentImages().add(mydocimage);
                    }
                }

Thats it, above code will compress images of particular size. Email me if you need source code or guidance on this.

Cheers,
